| Rotary Club Cortona Valdichiana |
| The
Valdichiana Rotary Club was started on June 27th 2001
when the outgoing Governor, Dr. Carlo Riccomagno, handed
over the Constituent Charter to the President of the
newly created club, Cav. Giuseppe Lucarini, thanks to
the indispensable work of the clubs of Arezzo and East
Arezzo. We are therefore proud to establish a new club
within the territory. The 39 members, which originally
used be 25, all come from Cortona, Castiglion Fiorentino,
Foiano della Chiana, Monte S.Savino and Lucignano and
represent the very best the “social tissue”
of the area has to offer.
Our club is today equipped with
its own web site which will enable us to fully take
advantage of all quick and effective communication opportunities
afforded by the internet. We hope this site may become
a fixed reference point for all members and people interested
in the Rotary world wishing to get in touch with our

The
headquartes of the Cortona-Valdichiana Roary Club are
located within the restaurant Tonino in Cortona. Located
in the panoramic Piazza Garibaldi the restaurant may
be easily reached following signs for the historic centre
of Cortona.
Cortona may be easily reached by car exiting the
A1 highway at the Valdichiana toll-booth, getting
on the Siena-Perugia freeway and getting of at the
second exit for Cortona (Cortoa – S.Lorenzo).
Once you hit the SS 71 state-road you will find signs
for Cortona.

territory |
 The
Cortona-Valdichiana Rotary Club area covers a territory
which is divided into six different municipalities:
Castiglion Fiorentino, Cortona, Foiano della Chiana,
Lucignano, Marciano della Chiana e Monte San Savino.
The headquarters are located in Cortona, an ancient
etruscan town having characteritic stone-paved streets
